Soak soya granules in warm
water for ten minutes. Wash, dry and cut okra (approx. 2 inch pcs) and
fry in soya refined oil till semi-cooked. Heat the remaining oil in a pressure
cooker, adding cardomom, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaves. Add ginger and
garlic and saute till golden brown. Add onion paste and saute for 2-3 minutes
before adding the tomato paste. Cook till the oil starts separating from
the micture. Add salt and the remaining spices. Add the granules and saute
for 5 minutes. Add water and let the gravy thicken. Add okra and pressure
cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve hot with chappaties or boiled rice. |
